ICBM&WMD (SC’s Got Talent 2012) 

We did it. :) We grabbed that 1st place spot last night and Estelle and I couldn’t be any more proud of you guys. We’ve worked so hard for these past two to three months and we totally just killed it. 

Babies, I remember our first auditions back in September you all came out not knowing the first thing about urban hip-hop dance and had trouble learning my and Estelle’s pieces. When I taught my dance, Outta Your Mind, I thought to myself, “Man, we’re gonna need to work on a lot of stuff” since everyone was having trouble with it. But now look, you guys killed that piece up on stage four months later. You have no idea how much every one of you has grown and matured as dancers and I’m really proud of you guys. You guys went from being shy, immobile noodles to shining, hardcore skanks. <3 ;) Remember what I said yesterday, you dance for yourself and no one else. From there, you’ll grow even more than you have these past few months. I know a lot of your parents don’t approve of this dancing thing, but just remember that if you love dance, grab as many opportunities to dance as you can because really, dance is great. When we were getting things put together, you could see that dance needs time, patience, team work and discipline. It’s just like a sport. So keep that passion alive because everyone of you blossomed into great dancers, proven last night. I’ll definitely miss you guys next year. You’ll forever be my favorite babies :D 

Veterans/Siblings, it’s pretty amazing to see how far we’ve come together. I still remember going up on SC’s Got Talent last year and even for the first time back two years ago. Every year, our hard work’s paid off but this year, our first season without Jonathan, we pulled through by ourselves. We’ve danced together on EPICdemic, NameLess, even on Movement Munchers for some of us and now on Inter Continental Ballistic Movements and Weapons of Music and Dance. We’ve come a very long way so you should be proud not only for the new kids, but for ourselves because we grew just as much as they did. It’s been amazing dancing with you guys these past three years and it makes me sad that this is the last time I’m going to be in this team. We grew really close together as friends because of dance and I couldn’t ask for better dance siblings. You guys are wonderful and thank you for a great dancing experience for my high school career. Especially, you my fellow Stelle, Estelle :D <3 We did it!

From auditions back in September, to an unpredictable start in November, to stress, blood, sweat and tears through November-January, to ripping it on that stage, to hearing our name being called out for 1st Place… it’s been one great journey. And to be directors of this team with Estelle, it really has been one of the best experiences of my life even though I had my own personal ups and downs with it.

ICBM&WMD, you are a group of amazing kids and as I’ve already said before, you guys deserve the world. I love you guys to the fullest. I am one proud Mama.
